Antigone Peyton, Founder and CEO of Cloudigy Law, a cloud-based intellectual property and technology law firm, has been honored with a 2014 Influential Women of Virginia award for her radical transformation of the traditional law firm structure and service in the community that includes mentorship of students focusing on technology and science careers.

“I was thrilled to be included in such an outstanding and inspiring group of women,” Antigone Peyton said, “and I am honored that Cloudigy’s transparent, cloud-based approach to practicing law and collaborating with clients has been recognized as an innovative step forward. When I founded Cloudigy, I wanted to turn the idea of how a law firm operates upside down, and it is gratifying to see the model working so well.”

Antigone also mentors students and entrepreneurs in various Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Programs (STEM), and Cloudigy’s legal practice includes significant pro bono services in cases that raise complex technical and scientific issues including forensic testing procedures—cases that rely on the firm’s experience with and training involving a wide-range of technologies.

Cloudigy Law is a highly collaborative boutique intellectual property firm that relies on a team of attorneys, technologists, information researchers, project managers, technical writers, and litigation support to handle client cases. This multi-disciplinary team approach allows the firm to deliver excellence across the board.

In addition, Cloudigy’s custom portal allows clients to follow their project or case progress, 24/7. Clients can quickly and easily review their projects, deadlines, documents, and list of team members working for them—and the cost of the work the Cloudigy team has performed. That transparent approach to client service is highly unusual in the legal field.

The 2014 Influential Women of Virginia awards will be presented on May 22 at the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa in Richmond, Virginia. An “Influential Woman of the Year” for 2014, voted on by the members of the Class of 2014, will be announced at this event. The full list of 2014 honorees can be found here.
