If you’ve been following the Masciandaro v. U.S. case that we are petitioning to the Supreme Court, you’ll know that the government filed its opposition last week. (We’ve written about this case a few times.) If you haven’t, you can read a quick summary.
The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the SCOTUSBlog have covered the case.
We’ve just filed our reply brief, which completes briefing at the petition stage of the case. All we can do now is wait.
Here are the briefs that have been filed with the Supreme Court:
- Petition for certiorari
- Amicus brief in support filed by Second Amendment Foundation
- Government’s opposition to petition for certiorari
- Reply brief in support of the petition
The briefs will be distributed to the Justices next week for consideration. We’ll let you know when we expect to hear an answer.
