CLOUD-BASED VIRGINIA INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW FIRM EXPANDS

McLean, VA, July, 23 2013 – Cloudigy Law, a cloud-based intellectual property and technology law firm, recently expanded its team with three new attorneys, each bringing their own area of expertise to the firm’s specialized practice.

Jennifer Atkins represents corporate clients in trials and appeals across the country. Her commercial litigation and appellate experience is wide-ranging and includes insurance, energy, telecommunications, food and beverage, broadcasting, and the pharmaceutical industries. Atkins clerked for the Honorable E. Grady jolly at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. With her background as an appellate clerk and student of public policy, Atkins brings a strategic focus to her litigation and counseling practice. Previously, Jennifer was a partner in the Washington, DC office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Read more about Jennifer.

“Cloudigy represents the technological evolution of how law firms should do business. Joining this team was a natural fit for me.” – Jennifer Atkins

Clyde Findley is a seasoned attorney who specializes in patent litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. His particular focus on software disputes is a natural evolution of his 20-year career as a software developer. Many of those early years included executive positions in upper management as well as ownership of two small software engineering companies. Using that wide-ranging experience, Findley provides counseling and advice on technical and business issues affecting his clients, as well as a wide range of legal matters. Before joining Cloudigy Law, Findley was a litigator in the Washington, DC offices of Kenyon & Kenyon and Crowell & Moring. Read more about Clyde.

Kandis Koustenis has a practice that centers on litigation and strategic counseling relating to trademark, trade dress, copyright, design patents, and advertising/marketing issues. Koustenis also provides strategic brand and other IP advice as a consultant for companies ranging from start-ups to established global corporations. Before returning to Virginia and Cloudigy Law, Koustenis served as in-house counsel in charge of the global intellectual property programs and portfolios for Toys “R” Us and Kenneth Cole, and was an IP litigator in the New York offices of Darby & Darby and Goodwin Procter. She also clerked for The Honorable James C. Cacheris at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Read more about Kandis.
